How can I make a payment?

You can settle the claim by transferring the total amount within the specified period, as stated in the letter sent to you, to the bank account of Stichting Straetus:

When making the payment, we kindly request you to mention the dossier number as a reference to ensure we can process the payment correctly.

I’ve already paid, what now?

In that case, we kindly request you to send a copy of the payment proof to the regional office from which you received the collection letter.

You can also send the payment proof to the main office of Straetus. This can be done by email at info@straetus.lu or by mail (with sufficient postage) to:

In all cases, we kindly request you to mention the dossier number.

I can’t pay the full amount, what should I do?

Contact us by phone directly using the login details from your letter to arrange a payment plan. This will help you avoid extra costs, and together we can work towards a solution.

I don’t agree with the payment reminder, what should I do?

You can send your motivation, including written evidence, to Straetus Incasso via:

We kindly request you to include the dossier number in all correspondence.

What happens if I don’t pay?

If you do not pay the invoice, Straetus may initiate legal proceedings on behalf of the client. These additional costs can be avoided by paying the invoice on time.

Can I arrange a payment plan?

It is possible to arrange a payment plan if the total claim exceeds €200,00. The total claim, including interest and costs, must be paid within a period of twelve months, calculated from the date of the first reminder.

You can send your payment proposal, including the dossier number, to the respective Straetus collection agency by email. You will then receive a response from the respective Straetus collection agency as soon as possible.

Why do I need to pay Straetus?

Straetus has been instructed by its client to collect an outstanding amount from you. The agreement with our client is that the claim must be paid to Straetus.

Who is Straetus collecting for?

Straetus works for many different companies. In the letter, we always mention on whose behalf we are collecting the claim.

How long does it take to process a payment to Straetus?

The processing time for a payment to Straetus depends on the method of payment. The processing time is a maximum of 3 working days. The processing time is shortest when paying via bank transfer through online banking.
